Rooted in the timeless geometry of a cube, Cubist pairs clean lines with balanced proportions. An angled, cantilevered roof adds a subtle architectural gesture while sheltering the structure below.

Rooted in Finnish tradition.

At the heart of Oblique, a custom stove—handcrafted in Finland—creates a balanced heat envelope that fills the space with the deep, encompassing warmth essential to the traditional sauna experience.

CONTROLLER

Warmth, ready when you are.

Oblique’s wifi-enabled heater lets you preheat the sauna from anywhere, so the space is warm and ready when you are. Set the temperature remotely and step straight into your ritual, on your schedule.

Materials + Construction

  • Aromatic and
    Soft Interior

    Every VIM sauna is lined in aromatic Western red cedar, with clear-grade Vancouver Island cedar benches that feel comfortable against bare skin. As the room warms, the scent of cedar fills 
the space.

  • Fiberglass- and
    synthetic-free

    Instead of fiberglass or synthetic foam, VIM relies on thick wood panels for insulation. The wood takes on heat slowly, then releases it back into the room, creating a deep warmth that stays with you.

  • A cleaner approach

    Even what you don’t see matters. The structural resin within our panels is zero-VOC and rated to 400°F—well beyond sauna temperatures—so the materials surrounding you are chosen with the same care as the ones you touch.

    Longevity

    Our exterior materials are made to live outdoors, without chemical preservatives. Built to perform for more than 20 years, they weather gradually and beautifully, taking on the character of their surroundings.

Exterior cladding options

Black Spruce

Thermally modified spruce with a deep, even black finish across every board. The cladding is wire brushed to give it a matte and understated finish.

Kodiak Spruce Thermal

Thermally modified spruce in a soft, warm natural tone. The most popular Thermory exterior in the United States.

Ash Thermal

Thermally modified ash, a dense hardwood with a rich brown tone and pronounced grain. Warm, refined and substantial.

Corten Steel

Weathering steel that forms its own protective patina over time, deepening to a dark rust brown. Bold and architectural.

Nakamoto Shou Sugi Ban

Wood finished in the traditional Japanese method of charring the surface, known as yakisugi. Textured, dark and organic.

Exterior

Thermory wood from Estonia is thermally modified for enduring outdoor performance, with a 20-year rating. A vented air gap lets the structure breathe naturally: no plastic house wrap, just four inches of solid wood.

Benches

Crafted from Clear Grade A Western red cedar from Canada, the movable benches adapt easily to different rituals, from traditional sauna and hot yoga to resistance training and stretching.

Door

Custom-designed from four inches of solid wood, Oblique's substantial sauna door is precisely balanced on top and bottom hinges for an effortless feel that reflects the structure's integrity.

Windows

Double-pane tempered glass helps retain warmth, while the window frames are finished with Supi Wax, a natural Finnish treatment chosen for its purity and high-temperature performance.

Refund policy

Deposit
Your 10% deposit is fully refundable at any time prior to your production payment being confirmed. Once your production payment has been submitted and your order has entered the manufacturing queue, the deposit is non-refundable.

Production payment
Production payments are non-refundable. Each sauna is built to your confirmed specification and cannot be resold or reallocated once manufacturing has started. We do not accept cancellations once production has begun. If you need to cancel prior to production starting, contact hello@vimsauna.com immediately.

No returns on delivered units
We do not accept returns on delivered sauna units. Given the nature of custom manufacturing, freight logistics, and the cost associated with large-format products, returns are not feasible. All sales of sauna units are final upon delivery.

Defects and incorrect parts
If your sauna arrives with a manufacturing defect or an incorrect component, we will work with you to repair or replace the affected part at no cost to you. To submit a defect or incorrect parts claim, contact hello@vimsauna.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos. Claims must be submitted before any affected parts have been moved from their delivery location or before installation has begun.

Custom orders
Custom sauna orders are non-refundable once design fee payment has been made and spec work has begun. Cancellations prior to design fee payment can be made at no charge.

Accessories
Accessories may be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused, and unopened condition with original packaging. To initiate a return, email hello@vimsauna.com with your order number and reason for return. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the return is received and inspected. We cannot accept returns on accessories that have been used, opened, or that are electrical components.

Refund processing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Refunds for deposits paid by card are returned to the card used at checkout. Refunds for payments made by ACH or wire are returned by ACH or check.
