Shipping policy
Overview
VIM Sauna ships throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping is quoted separately from your sauna and confirmed with you after your order. We work with trusted freight carriers to make sure your sauna arrives safely and on schedule, and we pass through our actual cost on the freight.
Sauna transport and assembly
VIM saunas are large-format architectural products, and getting yours to your door is handled with care. Every unit ships via common carrier freight. Delivery is curbside to the nearest accessible point at your property.
VIM saunas are designed for professional installation, and we have engineered each unit to make that process as clean and straightforward as possible. Everything arrives clearly labeled and fully documented. You are responsible for all handling, placement, and assembly from the point of delivery. VIM Sauna is not responsible for any damage that occurs during or after installation. We have an expanding national network of authorized VIM installers, so please reach out for assistance if you're having trouble finding an assembly team.
Delivery process
- You will receive a tracking number and carrier contact information once your unit has shipped.
- The freight carrier will contact you in advance to schedule your delivery window.
- Someone must be present and available to accept and sign for the delivery.
- Inspect your delivery carefully at the time of receipt. Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before the carrier leaves and reported to hello@vimsauna.com with photos immediately. Claims cannot be accepted after parts have been moved from their delivery location or installation has begun.
Lead times
Lead times vary based on model, configuration, and production scheduling. Estimated lead times are provided at the time of your order and are averages only. We stay in touch throughout the process and will notify you as soon as your unit is ready to ship.
Accessories
Sauna accessories typically ship separately from your sauna unit via FedEx or UPS ground. Accessories may arrive before or after your sauna. Tracking information will be provided by email.
Installation and electrical
All VIM electric sauna heaters require a 220/230 volt dedicated circuit, the same type used for a dryer or electric range. This must be installed by a licensed electrician prior to use.
We know that coordinating electrical work, permits, and contractors takes planning, and we are here to help make it easier. We maintain a network of VIM authorized installers and resellers, and we are happy to help you find the right people for your project. Electrical installation costs vary based on panel location, required run length, local permit requirements, and labor rates. VIM Sauna does not provide electrical services directly and is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from electrical installation or use.
International shipping
We do not offer international shipping as a standard service. For international inquiries including Canada, please contact us at hello@vimsauna.com. International orders are evaluated on a case by case basis.
