It Started With a Ritual
Founder Mark Hellweg has always been drawn to the beauty of everyday rituals. After founding Ratio and Clive Coffee, he brought that same passion and expertise to sauna. Inspired by the Oregon coast and his grandfather’s architectural influence, he set out to bring the same care and intention to the simple act of slowing down.
Beginnings
Made to Endure
VIM began with the Oblique, inspired by midcentury coastal cabins. Today, a small team of designers and craftspeople continues that vision, working with solid timber, aromatic cedar, and materials that grow more beautiful with time.
VITAL ENERGY
The Meaning of VIM
From the Latin for energy, vim speaks to the vitality and renewal found in the centuries-old practice of sauna. Each sauna is built in the United States, bringing a fresh perspective to a timeless tradition.
