Once your configuration is confirmed, we send a complete invoice that includes your confirmed delivery window and shipping cost. Shipping cost varies by location and access, and we will quote you the best price available without markup.
Pay by ACH or credit card. Once the full balance is received, production begins and your production slot is locked in.

Inspired by the midcentury coastal cabins of the Pacific Northwest and Denmark, the Oblique is the first sauna built from cedar-integrated cross-laminated timber.

Cross laminated timber delivers the thermal mass of a traditional Finnish sauna, with soft and even radiant heat. By integrating western red cedar into the panels, we add the natural durability, aroma, and humidity performance that cedar is uniquely suited for.

The angled roofline was not designed for aesthetics alone. It creates a thermal roll that moves steam across the bench area, producing the kind of deep, soft löyly that Finnish sauna culture has refined over generations.

Dimensions: Approximately 7 ft wide, 5 ft deep, 7.5 ft tall. Custom sizes available on request.
Structure: Cedar-integrated CLT panels produced in Montana exclusively for VIM. The exposed interior is western red cedar.
Exterior: Thermory thermally modified wood from Estonia (20-year outdoor performance rating), with a vented air gap for breathability.
Benches: Clear Grade A western red cedar from Canada. Moveable for traditional sauna, hot yoga, resistance training, and stretching.
Door: Custom-designed 4-inch-thick solid sauna door, perfectly balanced on top and bottom hinges.
Glass: Double-pane tempered insulated glass. Window frames finished with Supi Wax, a naturally based Finnish finish that does not off-gas in heat.

Deposit (10%): Collected at checkout. Fully refundable until you approve the final quote and pay the balance. Holds your production slot while VIM confirms your configuration and lead time with the manufacturer.
Balance (90%): Invoiced via Stripe after your configuration and delivery window are confirmed. Production begins once the full balance is received.
Shipping: Calculated after the deposit and confirmed before the balance is due. Cost varies based on distance, terrain, and site access and will be itemized in your final quote.
Delivery: We work with Omni Logistics for white-glove freight delivery. Once your order ships, their team will reach out directly by text and email to schedule a delivery appointment that works for you. Please note that delivery does not include assembly.
